The Monterrey-based team will host León in the first leg of the semi-final of 1 December and the second leg will be played at the Estadio Nou Camp three days later.
Tigres UANL beat Santos Laguna on Sunday night to advance to the semi-final of the Liga MX 2021 Apertura campaign. Carlos Salcedo's solo goal was enough to give the team managed by Miguel Herrera their ticket to the next round of the tournament.
In the last quarter-final match of the weekend, Club León defeated Puebla 2-0 to continue their path to the final of the campaign. Angel Mena scored a brace at the Estadio Nou Camp on Sunday night to give ‘La Fiera’ their ticket to the semi-final and now they will face Tigres in the next round.
The No 4 seed vs the No 5 seed
León finished in fourth place in the regular season and Tigres fifth, so the ‘Felines’ will open the series at home on 1 December and they will define the winner on Saturday at the Estadio Nou Camp the home of ‘La Fiera.’ The Liga MX confirmed the venues, times and dates for the semi-final round of the 2021 Apertura tournament on Monday morning.
