Adama Traoré isn't enjoying his best moment at Wolves. The Spain international has struggled to adapt to Bruno Lage's system and while he has been getting regular playing time, his stats can't hide the reality - zero goals and zero assists. The winger is one of the players with the most cachet within the Wolves squad and has been the subject of numerous transfer rumours during the past few years. Now however, it seems that he could be closer to leaving the club.

Tottenham were one of the first clubs to show an interest in Adama and according to reports in the UK, they are preparing an offer. According to the Mail on Sunday,Spurs are ready to put in a bid of 21.5 million euros (18 million pounds) for the 25-year-old who was born in Catalunya. The Mail adds that Wolves would be willing to sell Traoré as it would allow them to buy a central defender, a position which they are keen to strengthen as soon as possible.

Traoré's early years at Barcelona

Tottenham's offer effectively puts a price on Adama and that will in turn affect Barcelona, who also have an interest in the player. According to SportBarcelona have set their sights on the former blaugrana as a replacement for Ousmane Dembélé should he decide to leave. Barça already know his quality as a player - and Traoré knows the club inside out - he joined La Masia as an eight-year-oldand made his way up through the youth categories until he was snapped up by Aston Villa in 2015. He is still in contact with many of his old friends who are still in the Barça squad and that is a factor worth considering if he decides to move on

The Mail also claim that Trincão could be used as a makeweight in the operation. The Portugal international is on loan for the remainder of the season and Wolves have the option to buy him in June for  around 29 million euros.
