But it didn’t need any words to move audiences—especially those who love cats. Flow follows the journey of a feline protagonist trying to survive in a world without humans, where the water level keeps rising. To make it, the cat must learn to navigate and form bonds with other creatures, eventually calling them friends. Beneath its deceptively simple premise lies an unforgettable adventure that has won the Academy’s heart, beating out strong contenders like Inside Out 2 and The Wild Robot.
