Game 7 of the NBA Finals is upon us as the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder are tied at 3 each after 6 matches and the situation couldn’t be more intriguing.

We’ve seen it all: last minute winners, game-changing plays, worrying injuries and disappointing missed opportunities, all of which have contributed to a series that will go down in modern NBA history.

To take charge of the madness as it unfolds at Paycom Center, the NBA have assigned a hugely experienced group of officials:

Who is the referee for Game 7 of the NBA Finals?

Josh Tiven is a veteran NBA referee who began his officiating career in the league during the 2010–11 season. As of the 2024–25 season, he has logged an impressive 855 regular-season games and 86 playoff games, including eight NBA Finals assignments.

As for umpire Sean Wright, he is a deeply experienced referee who moved up the ranks from college and G League in a classic development path. At present, he has more than 1,000 game across 19 seasons at the top level under his belt and a lot of NBA Finals experience to call on.
