Not J. Cole, not Kendrick Lamar: This is who Kevin Durant considers to be the GOAT of rapping
Kevin Durant has established himself as one of the best NBA players of this generation and he has given it up for who he thinks is the GOAT rapper.

The war words between Kendrick Lamar and Drake seemed to divide the rap world, and force people to pledge their allegiance to one or other. The sports world is heavily connected to the rap world, and a lot of players were very vocal in which side of the rap battle they fell on, and Kevin Durant is the latest to weigh in.
Athletes choosing sides
Drake and Kendrick went back and forth for a few weeks this summer as each released diss tracks that went after each others rap styles, life styles and social circles. Bars were dropped as the gloves came off and people around the world were entrenched in what was rap’s biggest beef since Biggie and Tupac.
The most famous song to come out of this tangling of lyricists was Kendrick Lamar’s “They Not Like Us.” It’s won Grammys, been performed in the Super Bowl, and is audible just about every time you open up Instagram or Tik Tok these days.
Kendrick seemed to sway some of the biggest sports stars in the world to his side. Most notably DeMar DeRozan, who was Drake’s boy when he played in his hometown team the Toronto Raptors, was seen dancing on stage while Lamar sang the diss track directed at Drake.
Drizzy has KD on his side
Kevin Durant is one of the few who have come out and claimed Drake is the greatest of all time. This weekend he seemed to be going back and forth with some of his Twitter followers, and while tipping his cap to J. Cole’s new song “Clouds” he called the “One Dance” singer the GOAT.
Someone tried to make fun of him for listening to Drake, to which Kevin Durant bluntly answered back “The GOAT.”
They two have hung out before and are apparently pretty close. Drake is still one of the top selling artists in the world despite whether you think he won or lost the battle with Kendrick. Having one of the best basketball players of this generation on his side has to feel like a win for Drizzy.
