It’s Game 3 for six teams today as they battle it out in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.

The Miami Heat will try to continue to pull away from the Atlanta Hawks, over whom they now lead 2-0.

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls will both seek to get the advantage when their game breaks the 1-1 tie which they currently find themselves in.

NBA schedule for Friday, April 22

  • Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks
  • Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls
  • Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Here’s what to watch out for in each of the games.

Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks

Top-seeded Miami Heat is up 2-0 against the Atlanta Hawks in their playoff series. Miami will be hoping to take a commanding lead, but Atlanta will be playing at home and Miami won’t, which could be an advantage that the Hawks will take full advantage of.

Atlanta has a 27-14 record at home, and rising star Trae Young also performs much better at home, averaging 30.2 points per game compared to 26.5 point in away games. With their backs against the wall, they could pull an upset over the favorites to win.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls

The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to bounce back from their Game 2 defeat to the Bulls on Wednesday night, while Chicago will try to maintain their momentum at home.

Both teams are dealing with injured players- Lonzo Ball and Matt Thomas will not be playing for the Bulls, while Milwaukee will miss the services of Khris Middleton and George Hill.

Middleton is a key player for the Bucks, but they are expected to rely on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday to take up the slack.

Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have drawn level with the Phoenix Suns after their 125-114 victory in Game 2 of their playoff series. Forward Brandon Ingram led the victory for New Orleans with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.

Suns guard Devin Booker recorded 31 points during their loss on Tuesday, but he will be missing Game 3 because of a hamstring injury he suffered in the third quarter. The top-seeded team will have to find a way to overcome Booker’s absence while playing on the road.
