When I heard that Miguel Cardenal (the former Sports Minister) was about to join Mediapro, I sent him a message informing him that the move would lead to plenty of speculation.

Now Real Madrid have stated in writing their opposition to Javier Tebas' plan to hold the Girona-Barcelona LaLiga fixture in Miami, things feel rather different.

Yesterday Luis Rubiales responded to the request from Tebas about the much discussed LaLiga match in Miami, stating his opposition to the idea.

The scheduled date for the Miami match is approaching (January 26, 2019 for Girona-Barça) and we still don't know whether or not it will go ahead...

Everything points to the Girona-Barça game scheduled for January as being the match selected by LaLiga as part of their US experiment
