Update:

Caleb Williams has stoked the ever-burning fire between the Bears and the Packers with his latest comments on the latter’s fanbase, saying that “they suck”.

The quarterback was speaking during Fanatics Fest in New York City, and took the opportunity to take a stab at his side’s biggest rivals.

Williams was asked which fanbase he likes the least. It was a pointed question from the person asking, but Williams took the bait: “Probably Green Bay,” he fired, without hesitation. And he didn’t stop there. “I mean, they suck” he added.

‘They’re pushing you, pushing your face’

“After the game, after we won at Lambeau — 1-0 at Lambeau — we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were. [Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it’s a real leap. It’s not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they’re pushing you, pushing your face."

Williams’ comments have upped the intensity for a period next season that will see the two sides go head-to-head 3 times in just 2 weeks. The Bears travel to Lambeau for Week 14 before the Packers make their way to Soldier Field in a Windy City Week 16 clash of helmets.

In his rookie NFL season in 2024 with the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams started all 17 games, completing 351 of 562 pass attempts and finishing with a 62.5% completion rate for 3,541 passing yards.
