Eagles to visit the White House Monday: What we know about who’s going and who isn’t
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to visit the residence of the President on Monday, but questions remain as to who will attend.

Almost three months after the Philadelphia Eagles crushed the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the side will travel to the White House where they will be welcomed by US President Donald Trump.
When the Eagles last won a Super Bowl came back in 2018, during Trump’s first term, and the outcome was entirely different: that visit came in the midst of the protests regarding national anthem. Trump then uninvited the team after most of the squad declined to meet with the president.
Trump was in the stands for the Super Bowl, becoming the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. He left at halftime.
Despite only watching half, he said that “the Eagles were really, it was like flawless football, amazing. Even the first play, they called it back. It was a long pass, it was, you know, either a touchdown or going to be a touchdown. They called it back, completed long pass, and they went on to get touchdown after touchdown. They really played great.”

Will any Philadelphia Eagles players not go to the White House?
We’re not sure. Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts was asked this very question and his response left things wide open. When quizzed on his presence at the upcoming celebrations, he simply replied “um” before walking away.
So far, nobody has publicly declared that they won’t attend, but some figures are clearly not Trump fans: for example, defensive tackle Thomas Booker was cochair of “Athletes for Harris,” a group of sports stars who backed former Vice President Kamala Harris.
One player who will almost certainly be there is Saquon Barkley. The 28-year-old was snapped hanging out with Trump ahead of the Eagles’ visit to the White House, all but confirming his presence at the gala. Barkley and Trump were seen together at the president’s golf course in New Jersey and they were also photographed stepping off Marine One.

The ceremony is set to get going at 4 p.m. on the South Lawn of the White House, according to the president’s public calendar; Trump is then scheduled to sign more executive orders in the Oval Office at 5 p.m. It will able to be viewed on YouTube.
