Patrick Mahomes contract details: What is his salary and how many years does he have left?
Patrick Mahomes might be getting a raise. How much does the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback earn?

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes played in his third Super Bowl in four years in February, and the fact that he is a repeat performer in so little time is testament to his skill and talent. The 27-year-old has also led the team to five consecutive AFC Championship games since he became its starter.
A half-billion dollar deal
Such excellent output from the young signal caller was recognized by the franchise, and they made sure he would not go anywhere by signing him to a 10-year, $450 million contract extension in 2020.
This deal is the biggest-ever in the history of the NFL, and the third largest in the world of sports. Mahomes only trails top earner Lionel Messi, whom soccer club F.C. Barcelona once signed to a 4-year, $674 million agreement, and Cristian Ronaldo, whom the Al-Nassr soccer team locked in for 2.5 years for $536 million.
Salary plus endorsements
Mahomes thus rakes in some $45 million per year as Chiefs quarterback. However, this is not his only source of income as he has also landed substantial endorsement deals, including those he inked with Subway and State Farm.

His extension is a far cry from the deal he first signed with the team when they chose him as the 10th pick overall in the 2017 draft. That one was a four-year, $16 million agreement which included a $10 million signing bonus.
Nine more years
With Mahomes’ long-term contract- particularly lengthy considering that the average length of an NFL football player’s career is 3.3 years- Kansas City fans need not worry that Mahomes is leaving anytime soon. His contract runs out in 2032, after which he becomes a free agent.
