Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s daughters hospitalized ahead of Wild Card game vs Vikings
The Los Angeles Rams face the Minnesota Vikings in the final Wild Card game of the weekend tonight, but Rams QB Matthew Stafford has had a tough week.

It’s been a rough week in Los Angeles as the city has dealt with deadly wildfires that have caused destruction and tragedy throughout. The Rams, who were set to host the Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings tonight, have now headed to Arizona instead as the NFL made the right decision to relocate the game.
On top of the fallout from this catastrophe, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has had to deal with another unfortunate personal matter, as two of his daughters were hospitalized with an illness just ahead of the game.
Stafford’s daughters deal with sickness ahead of Wild Card playoffs
Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly have four daughters together - twins Sawyer and Chandler, age 6, Hunter, age 4, and Tyler, age 2.
On Saturday, January 11, Kelly revealed in an Instagram post that she’d taken their daughters to an emergency room due to having flu-like symptoms, with a photo of two of the girls in a hospital bed.
“Last night was long,” she wrote in the post. “Back in beds and sleeping, everyone except Hunter. Feels like she drank a Celsius. … Before that tho, they were all smiles getting to go with daddy on his work trip.”
Thankfully, by Sunday, Kelly and the girls were able to make their way to Arizona to support Matthew. In a follow-up post, Kelly shared a photo of she and the girls at Waffle House having breakfast.

“Found our happy place in AZ,” Kelly wrote on Sunday. “I promise we are happy, just still [sick].”
Although his family may not be able to attend the game in person this time, it seems that the Rams quarterback has avoided the illness himself and will be ready to go as they battle the Vikings for a spot in the Divisional Round. If Stafford and the Rams advance, they will face the Philadelphia Eagles on the road next week.
