Update:

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs knew what it take to win the pinnacle of the NFL. The last two Super Bowls had featured them and the Vince Lombardi trophy had been lifted by them. A third consecutive appearance was to make history, the never-before-achieved three-peat. But it wasn’t to be.

By halftime, the score was 24-0 to the Philadelphia Eagles, and they were worthy of that lead. And as the gap continued to grow in the second half, it proved too much for some of the Chiefs' players to take.

The dream was over, and they knew it early.
