Tom Brady’s sex ritual that “froze” his marriage to Gisele Bündchen
The Tampa Bay quarterback and the model are in the process of a divorce and stories continue to emerge over the causes of their relationship break-up.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have officially filed for divorce, as of Friday 28 October 2022. The pair filed similar messages on Instagram saying that “co-parenting” would be their priority. In total the couple were married for 13 years; they have two children together, Benjamin (12) and Vivian (9). They also parent Brady’s first child Jack (15), who he had with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
In breaking the news to his followers, Brady said that the couple “arrived at this decision [to divorce] amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.” Brady said the priority for the couple is their children and that they plan to “work together as parents” to “ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen apparently enjoyed an idyllic marriage, full of success, love and dedication, as well as gathering a huge legion of fans, many of whom described them as the perfect couple. That is why the world is still trying to digest the imminent break-up becoming official while trying to find the possible causes that have led the quarterback and the model to end things. Initially, Brady’s decision to return to the NFL a month after announcing his retirement was pointed out -- Cristiano Ronaldo even getting an influential mention -- and the player’s limited presence at home was questioned. Now, however, another detail that apparently “froze” Tom and Gisele’s marriage has come to light.

According to an exclusive published by Radar, the demanding preparation that Tom carried out in order to be as successful as possible on the turf, and to extend his career, meant that another aspect of his life had to go. And Gisele was not a fan.
“The marriage froze like ice,” an NFL member close to Brady has confessed to the media outlet. The reason? A ritual of sexual abstinence during the season. As detailed in their report, the Buccaneers quarterback wanted to have as much energy as possible in games and that meant not having sex before games. And not only during the day of the match, but Brady’s strict policy was often extended to 72 hours as the season progressed, so they say.
“Do you make love to your wife on game day?” Dax Shepard asked him back on the Armchair Expert podcast. With obvious nervousness, Brady replied: “That’s probably off the table (...). That wouldn’t be my pre-game warm-up,” he said.
According to Radar Gisele did not like these statements, since she considers that the matter is important enough not to be made into a joke. “She couldn’t believe it. She fears that he has fallen out of love with her,” defended a source close to the couple. “Gisele is a Brazilian supermodel with a high sex drive and has told her friends that she needs more from her husband.”
Curiously, although with little actual meaning behind it, some people have pointed out the detail that surrounds the two children that the couple had together. In 2009 they welcomed Benjamin Rein into the world, while in 2012 Vivan Lake would be born. The two were conceived on similar dates, both once the season was over, arriving nine months later in December.
