Never one to shy away from the spotlight, the controversial former WR is back in the news after ripping former teammate and NFL vote for GOAT Tom Brady.

Antonio Brown snaps at Tom Brady and trainer Alex Guerrero

As per his tweets on Wednesday, Antonio Brown clearly has an issue with Tom Brady’s decision to take a break from the Buccaneers on the grounds of non-football related issues. “Alex Guerra [sic] You think i won’t have u smacked at TB12 boy stop playing with me !” Brown tweeted. “Boy getting paid by bucks [sic] n taking players money too.” It wasn’t long before Brown took to the social platform once again. “Tom brady manipulate the game gets 14 days [to] go home get his mind [right] lol. Now u see the difference. Put that s–t on.” The seven-time Pro Bowl pick and former Super Bowl champion didn’t stop there, as he added “Still no justice for the Real,” before ending with, “No hard Feelings But these Feelings Hard.”

A look at Antonio Brown’s relationship with Tom Brady

To be clear, Tom Brady is a major part of the reason why Antonio Brown has a Super Bowl ring. Unfortunately, the onetime prolific pair have gone in decidedly different directions since they combined for an NFL championship in 2020. Fans will remember, it was just last year when Brown removed his jersey and ran across the field during a regular season game against the New York Jets. Brady then implied that Brown should seek help, to which Brown responded by publicly questioning their friendship. Brown would later retract his statements and go on to claim that not only does he love Brady, but he’s both a great teammate and friend. Brown was eventually cut by the Buccaneers and has been without a team since.

Where Alex Guerrero is concerned, it goes something like this: Brown - through a series of tweets - alleged that Guerrero failed to repay him some $100K for his services. To date there has been no response from Brady or Guerrero as to the money that Brown is referring to.

So why is Tom Brady absent?

It was just last week, that Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles stated that Brady would only be available after Tampa Bay’s second preseason game against the Tennessee Titans - this coming Saturday. To date, there has been no official word as to why Brady won’t be playing, however, Bowles appeared to suggest that it was something that had been planned before. “He’s going to deal with some personal things,” Bowles said. “This is something we talked about before training camp started. We allotted this time because he wanted to get in and get chemistry with the guys and go through two weeks of training camp, knowing he wasn’t going to play the first two games.”
