Can City win the Treble? Guardiola gives his thoughts
The Manchester City manager spoke about City’s prospects of winning a domestic treble.

Just a slight tap of one’s boot sole can spring a bear trap. Until then, it can lay dormant, disguised by nature’s beauty, for as long as it needs, waiting patiently to burst into life and rip you leg in two.
All it took was Finn Azaz’s boot to break the seal and unleash the claws of the Manchester City torture device, with its teeth gripping his side and not letting go, squeezing the air out of them as they struggled to cope with the sheer force behind the design of the machine that looked rusty on the surface.
In a split second, Doku returned Southampton’s slap to the face before Nico González showed his class with a sublime strike that literally nobody knew he had in his locker.
A domestic treble - Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup - is a real possibility for City now, even if Guardiola doesn’t want to think about it.

“I told them: don’t think about football”
“Too much, far away,” Guardiola said when asked about the idea of winning all three domestic trophies in a season that has seen City turn predator while Arsenal rode high for so long at the top of the domestic table.
“Now it’s important, we have three days off for the players, I told them: don’t think about football, rest. Now we start a season for five games plus the final.”
Manchester City are 3 points behind league leaders Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand. They went top of the standings last week on goals scored, after both sides ended the match day with the same number of points and an equal goal difference.
