Clubs line up to sign Salzburg’s Sesko
Five clubs have officially transmitted to Salzburg their intention of signing the 19-year-old striker. Your pass could close as early as next week.
Benjamin Sesko is the object of several top European clubs. Diario AS has reported how the wealthiest clubs on the continent have been scrambling to sign the 19-year-old RB Salzburg striker. It became apparent why following the player’s exhibition display in the friendly against Liverpool on 27 July. Sesko scored and a gave a performance that left no one indifferent. Everyone already knew what Sesko was capable of, and he proved in the ultimate test, against the Champions League runners-up.
AS explained last Monday that the to sign him was already gathering pace. Top clubs in England, Germany, Spain and France had quickly picked up the phone. Manchester United and Liverpool were the first to state their interest and others have followed. As things stand, AS understands that five clubs have conveyed their firm intentions directly to Salzburg. United and Chelsea were among the first to contact the Austrian club and PSG the most recent.
The player already knows about the interest from other clubs and is evaluating his options carefully. He has tremendous respect for Salzburg. Red Bull gambled on him, recruited him and has made him a world-class promise and his next steps will be taken with caution. Ideally, Salzburg would like to keep him for another year. Daka left last season for the Premier League and this summer it was Karim Adeyemi who left, joining Borussia Dortmund. Sesko, together with his family, and, of course, with Salzburg, will make a decision. That will almost certainly be made by next week. The Slovenian attacker does not want to see his progress slow down, nor does he want to rush. But the great sides of Europe are already knocking on his door and it’s time to decide.
