Two English clubs eye potential Pulisic departure

The USMNT captain could be on his way out of San Siro if rumours are to be believed.

Update:

Christian Pulisic may have found an escape chute inside the maze of mirrors he’s been banging his head off for the past number of weeks. The USMNT player has been stuggling massively, unable to find the back of net as his form has truly left the end of his boot.

The high of the World Cup is thundering towards the player who is expected to lead the USMNT to a significant finish if you listen to the high expectations of the fans. Instead, that high looks like a tidal wave of anxiety he cannot shake off.

AC Milan sit in 3rd in Serie A with just two wins from five, behind Napoli and leaders Inter. Their chances of winning the league are gone, and Pulisic’s dip in form has been a major factor in their slide. He must recover mentally from this before the World Cup on home soil approaches, with a pair of disappointing recent results also fresh in the USMNT hive mind.

According to reports, both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are looking at Pulisic as a potential summer signing, with AC Milan said to be willing to let the player go back to the Premier League for €60 million/$70m.

However, with just one year remaining on his current deal, that price feels extremely high for a player with 10 goals and 3 assists in 29 games, and who hasn’t scored since the turn of the year. Should AC Milan miss out on Champions League football, that price will presumably drop to something more reasonable.

And Pulisic is not the only high-profile figure linked with an exit at San Siro, with manager Allegri also potentially on his way out. Reports have linked him with a job within the Italian National Team setup, a departure that could see Pulisic’s role change at Milan.
