Atlético Madrid bus hit with stones and cans en route to Camp Nou
Tensions are high in Barcelona ahead of the Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

Few were in any doubt that the Champions League quarterfinal meetings between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid would be fiery. But as is often the case, some fans have gone a little too far early on.
As the capital team buses headed towards the Camp Nou stadium, some Catalan fans gathered began throwing objects on the side of the streets.

Police struggled to contain it although it was over in just a few seconds, the drivers not waiting around to investigate. Early reports state that cans and stones were thrown, and two windows were damaged. As yet, no word of any injuries.
While intelligence doesn’t always go hand-in-hand with sports fans, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to realise that these antics are likely to just be doubled by the home hardcore next week in the return fixture.
