Dominik Szoboszlai will not feature for Liverpool against Arsenal in the FA Cup third round game at the Emirates Stadium as the player is overcoming an injury he sustained in the Premier League game against Newcastle.

Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, revealed in the pre-match press conference that the Hungarian suffered from a hamstring injury in his side’s 4-2 win at Anfield and would not be present against Arsenal, who will be wearing a special all-white kit for the game.

When will Szoboszlai be back?

“I can confirm it’s not a potential injury - it is an injury,” Klopp said on Friday ahead of the game. “Muscle, hamstring. But now we have to see.”

“Dom is very positive, doesn’t have a lot of pain, but we have to wait a little bit,” added Klopp, who confirmed as well that the player will also miss the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Fulham next Wednesday.

“So, no chance obviously for Sunday, not for Wednesday, and then we will see. After that, hopefully he might be back but we don’t know.”

Which Liverpool players are currently injured?

Beyond the Hungarian, Klopp had more positive news, saying that “nothing else really happened. The rest were yesterday available and fully fit, so let’s hope that’s today the same and we will have to make a choice.”

Szoboszlai joins Thiago, Robertson, Bajcetic, Matip and Tsimikas in the Liverpool injury room, while Klopp will also be without Salah (AFCON) and Endo (Asian Cup).
