Santiago Giménez’s good form in his first season at Feyenoord has led an increasing number of clubs across Europe to turn their attentions to the Mexican international.

While Spanish club Sevilla are one team known to be tracking Giménez, sources close to the player have told AS México that several sides have now expressed an interest in the 21-year-old forward.

Into double figures in opening year in Europe

Giménez, who graduated from the Cruz Azul youth set-up before joining Feyenoord in July 2022, has scored 12 times in 31 games for the Dutch club, who sit top of the Eredivisie.

The youngster’s quick adaptation to European soccer has impressed potential suitors, as has his good attitude both on and off the pitch.

Level with Rashford, Vitinha in Europa League goal charts

Giménez’s goal return this term includes four in the Europa League, making him joint-top scorer in the competition alongside Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Braga’s Vitinha and Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder.

Two-time winners of Europe’s second-tier club tournament, Feyenoord face Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of the Europa League last 16 on Thursday.
