Update:
Supreme Court annuls Real Madrid and Barcelona fines
JESUS ALVAREZ ORIHUELADIARIO AS

The Spanish Supreme Court has annulled fines originally handed down to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla by the High Court for violating national market and competition regulations during the sale of their television rights.

The fines in question were to do with the contracts each club signed with Mediapro in 2010. Although the High Court rejected initial appeals, the Supreme Court has overruled the decision in favour of the clubs.

Real Madrid avoid €3.9m fine

Given that the fines corresponded with the value of the television contracts, Real Madrid will avoid paying €3.9 million, Barcelona avoid a sanction of €3.6m, and Sevilla save an amount of €900,000.
