The only time Granada have left the capital with anything positive after visiting Atlético was in the opening round of fixtures of the 1974-75 season, when the match ended 0-0.
Metropolitano victory
Granada have got the better of Atlético in league action, but at the colchoneros’ old Metropolitano stadium. The sides met there on eight occasions in the league, with the visitors victorious once and two draws. The only time Granada have beaten Atlético in the league was in 1959-60, on October 19, with a 2-0 win.
