Toni Kroos picks German midfielder Julian Weigl as his successor
The German midfielder took some time to answers questions on Twitter and was asked who was his heir apparent and also about his musical favourites.
Toni Kroos took some time out to answer questions on his Twitter account and he was asked about everything from his musical preferences to which youngster he thought resembled him the most. He also gave an unsurprising answer to who he thinks will win LaLiga; Real Madrid.
Kroos believes Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl, a 21-year-old central midfielder, most resembles him and that he will be world class. Weigl is having an excellent season under Thomas Tuchel at Dortmund and has already attracted the attention of some of the biggest European teams including Barcelona and Real Madrid. His agents reportedly offered the player to Real Madrid and he is seen as a possible long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets. He has a contract with the German side until 2021.
The Real Madrid midfielder has no intention of becoming a manager when he retires and answered with a flat "No" when asked during the Q and A on the social media website. He also mentioned Robbie Williams, Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran and James Blunt among his favourite singers.
