Caught doing 155km/h on 120km/h road

The ex-Barcelona forward was pulled over by police just outside the capital on Saturday for driving at 155km/h, which is 35km/h over the limit.

Images have appeared online of the ticket seemingly issued to Alexis by police officers (see above).

Having had his licence taken away from him, the player is now understood to have been handed an April court date in Buin, just south of Santiago.

Follows qualifying defeat in Argentina

The brush with the law caps a bad few days for Alexis, who was in the Chile side that lost to Argentina in qualifying for Russia 2018 on Thursday.
