Juventus dressing room accept Cristiano Ronaldo gesture
Reports coming out of Italy are stating that club teammates of the Portuguese star understand his strop after being substituted against Milan.
The fuss made by Cristiano Ronaldo as he was substituted by Maurizio Sarri early into the second half against AC Milan has been a major talking point in Turin and beyond. From claims that the club should punish him, to suggestions he may face a Serie A ban, reports on Wednesday state that the players that share a dressing room with him are not looking for any apologies.
Cristiano has teammate backing
According to Tuttosport, the acceptance from the players is due to them understanding that the reaction was just part of his character, something that Sarri had already justified at the post-match press conference. They are also very aware that he regrets what he did.
In addition, the Italian paper adds that his teammates are aware of his niggles and want to do what they can to try to help him be more comfortable and regain his best form. They know that his quality could be a defining factor in Juve's success this season as they look to fight off the domestic challenge of Inter Milan, and conquer Europe once again. The number seven already had the respect of the other players, both from his performances since joining in 2018 on the field, and from his efforts in training, often being the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Cristiano Ronaldo has played 1,217 minutes across 14 games for Juventus this season. In that time he has scored six goals and provided two assists
