Confirmed India coronavirus cases
As of 06:00 IST (01:30 CET) there were 657 confirmed cases of coronavirus in India and 12 deaths. The low official figures follow Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on Tuesday that the country would lock down for 21 days to fight the virus.

Worldwide coronavirus cases
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide stands at 468,577. In total 21,185 people have died from Covid-19, while 113,817 have recovered following contracting the disease.
