Gonzaga and Baylor are the last two teams dancing in this years NCAA Tournament. The semifinals games gave us a little bit of everything. The first was a blow out win for the Baylor Bears, while the second was an overtime thriller that will go down as one of the best games in college basketball history.

A look back at the Semis

Baylor used their stifling defense to top the Houston Cougars in the first of two semis on Saturday. The Bears kept Houston to an NCAA Final Four record low 20 points in the first half.They stretched the lead to 25 at the end of the first half, and never looked back. Jared Butler lead the Bears with 17 points (all in the first) and Davion Mitchell had a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.

Gonzaga had to play extra basketball to punch their ticket to the final. UCLA and the Zags were even through 40 minutes. There were 19 lead changes and 13 ties in regulation and neither team could find that knock out punch, until Jalen Suggs hit a half court buzzer beater to end one of the best games in college basketball history.

Top seeds survive one of the wildest tournments to date

Both one seeds came in to March Madness as favorites in the majority of brackets around the world. Although the first few rounds had its fair share of Cinderella stories, in the end its the top dogs in the tourney who will be fighting it out for college basketball’s top prize.

Both teams are looking for their first NCAA Championship in program history.
