Bob Bradley feels no pressure to win MLS Cup with LAFC
Los Angeles Football Club is entering their fourth year in Major League Soccer and they have failed to win the MLS Cup in their previous three attempts.
Los Angeles FC have become one of the best teams in Major League Soccer since making their debut in 2018. They are characterized by controlling the possession of the ball, being dynamic and always wanting to score more goals than their opponents regardless of who or where they play.
The team is entering their fourth year in MLS and they have only won one title, the 2019 Supporters Shield. They have been eliminated in the playoffs by different teams in their past three attempts to lift the trophy, so this year things need to change for the team managed by Bob Bradley.
“There is no pressure to win the MLS Cup this season. The pressure we put on ourselves is to just keep improving as a team. We have achieved a lot in a short period of time, but we feel there is a lot of room for improvement still,” said Bob Bradley during an interview with ESPN.
Los Angeles FC following the path of Manchester City
LAFC is one of the top contenders to win the 2021 MLS Cup and they will make their debut against Austin FC on 17 April at the Banc of California stadium. Bob Bradley compares his team to Manchester City and what they can achieve in a short period of time if they keep moving in the right direction.
“Good teams always improve. Good teams bring new ideas, the players evolve and understand the game better. We have seen a team like Manchester City grow so much and they have won so many titles. I think that is the best example I want to show my team and we want to replicate that formula,” he added.
