Travis Kelce doesn’t hold back at Super Bowl Opening Night: The Chiefs’ TE calls out the press with one question
The Chiefs are sick and tired of hearing about it. The press can’t get enough of the referees-favoring-KC storyline. Kansas City’s TE let the reporters know what he thinks of the whole thing

To threepeat or not to threepeat, that is the question. NFL fans get tired of teams that always win and that is the case of the Chiefs. Conspiracy theories have been flying about the zebras and how they help KC to win. Fans who dislike Mahomes and Kelce have bought into it, while Chiefs fans and players are tired of hearing about it.
What did Travis Kelce say to the media?
The Chiefs’ TE turned the tables on the press and with one question shut down the subject of referees helping the Chiefs, “Why are you guys leaning into this whole ref thing?” Kelce asked. “You know what I mean? Like why are you guys leaning into it? That’s all I got.”

It is a fact that some calls have gone the Chiefs’ way, and there are stats to prove that Kansas City has benefited from the referees in the regular season and in playoff games as Mike Catalana points out:
Patrick Mahomes said on Wednesday that he does not believe the Chiefs get favorable calls from the officials.

Penalty numbers from last 11 Chiefs playoff games
Kansas City 36-319 yards
Opponents 66-541 yards

Nevertheless, Mahomes, Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs are obviously not on board with this narrative and hope to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX without the help of zebras, video replays or any other assistance that isn’t just outplaying Jalen Hurts and company.
