Bayern lose top talent ahead of Real Madrid game
Bayern’s star player will miss the second leg against Real Madrid due to a muscle injury.

Bayern Munich confirmed on Friday that Lennart Karl has suffered a hamstring tear in his right leg. The 18-year-old forward will be sidelined for several weeks, meaning he will also miss the crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, a significant setback for both the team and the player.
The news comes as a tough emotional blow for Karl, who was already reeling from the disappointment of the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu. Despite Bayern’s 2–1 victory, the promising striker, who had just made his debut for the German national team, did not play a single minute and remained on the bench throughout the match, on a night he had hoped would be special given his admiration for Real Madrid and his past connection to the club.
The frustration was compounded by his personal circumstances. His family had travelled to Madrid to see him fulfil a dream, something that ultimately did not happen. Karl, who had trials at the Bernabéu as a child and has publicly expressed his desire to wear the Real Madrid shirt in the future, had been hoping to get minutes in the second leg. However, the injury will now prevent him, for the time being, from facing the club he considers his dream team.
