USMNT captain Christian Pulisic has posted a message on social media inviting the huge number of celebrities that attended Messi’s Miami game against LAFC to come to National Team matches.
The return of the USMNT is edging closer: this weekend, Gregg Berhalter makes his return to the Team USA bench when they face Uzbekistan and later against Oman in friendly games as part of a FIFA break. For these fixtures, the ‘Stars and Stripes’ will have their main players back, and Christian Pulisic comes into the squad in a fine vein of form wit AC Milan.
‘Captain America’ made an appearance on social media a few days after returning to the field with the USMNT, where he took the opportunity to join in on the ‘Messimanía’ that has swept MLS after the arrival of seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi to Inter Miami.
Which celebrities watched LAFC vs Inter Miami?
Last weekend a significant number of celebrities such as Prince Harry, Selena Gómez, Tom Holland, LeBron James and Leonardo DiCaprio all gathered together for the match that took place between LAFC and Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami played at BMO Stadium. After the event, which Miami won 1-3, Christian Pulisic sent an important message to all the famous faces.
Through his Instagram stories, Pulisic shared the video that the MLS released in which the aforementioned celebrities can be seen watching Messi, to which the United States captain asked them that they also attend USMNT games.
“Let them know that they’re invited to the US National Team games too,” Pulisic joked on his Instagram account.
When are the United States’ next games?
The United States will host both Uzbekistan and Oman on September 9 and 12, respectively. The games will be held at City Park in St. Louis and at Allianz Field in Minnesota.
It should be noted that the USMNT will welcome the official return of Gregg Berhalter, who against Uzbekistan will re-debut as a head coach of Team USA as the journey towards the World Cup 2026 finally gets underway.
