El Salvador vs USMNT: preview

Tournament holders the USMNT visit El Salvador in CONCACAF Nations League A on Tuesday, following a thumping win over Grenada in their opening match in Group D.

FC Dallas’ Jesús Ferreira scored four times for the US on Friday, as Gregg Berhalter’s team won 5-0 at Austin’s Q2 Stadium.

El Salvador are currently one point ahead of the US at the top of the group, having played one more game than their visitors. After beating Grenada 3-1 in San Salvador 10 days ago, Hugo Pérez’s men were then held to a 2-2 draw by the Caribbean nation last Tuesday.

El Salvador have never beaten the USMNT in 25 previous meetings.
