Real Madrid is once again the most valuable sports club on the planet — not just in soccer, but across every major league. Forbes’ latest global rankings confirm it for the fifth straight year and the tenth time in the last 13 editions, cementing the club’s dominance both on and off the field.

The new valuation is staggering: $9.5 billion, a full $2 billion more than the second‑place team on the list. According to Forbes, Madrid’s value jumped 41% compared to last year, one of the largest single‑year increases ever recorded for a major sports franchise.

Record‑breaking revenue

Forbes also highlights that during the 2024–25 season, Real Madrid generated $1.265 billion in revenue — a 12% increase from the previous year. That figure surpasses the $1.23 billion earned by the Dallas Cowboys, long considered the gold standard in sports business.

With that, Real Madrid becomes the highest‑earning sports club ever documented.

Why Madrid sits alone at the top

Forbes attributes the club’s financial power to a combination of factors:

  • Unmatched Champions League success — more titles than any other club
  • Global brand strength — one of the most recognizable names in world sports
  • Star‑driven commercial appeal — elite players who boost sponsorship and media value
  • The revamped Santiago Bernabéu — a modernized stadium designed to generate year‑round revenue

As Forbes puts it, Real Madrid blends “unprecedented sporting success with one of the most recognizable brands in world football,” powered by massive sponsorship deals and the commercial impact of its stars.
