Will Aaron Rodgers play against the Seahawks on Sunday after covid week?

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers recognized Tuesday that there is a "small possibility" he won't play in Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Aaron Rodgers said Tuesday that he is feeling better, and even though “there will be some sort of clearance that needs to happen on Saturday,” he is hopeful he’ll play on Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

“Hopefully, I’ll feel great on Saturday, go through the walkthrough and be ready to roll,” Rodgers said.

The 37-year-old quarterback who tested positive for covid-19 last Wednesday, Nov. 3, missed Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs while on the reserve list, and there has been a growing frustration across the league since then.

When do NFL athletes return to the field after covid?

According to an NFL memo, vaccinated players who test positive and are asymptomatic can return to the field after two negative tests, 24 hours apart.

Non-vaccinated players who test positive, like Rodgers, require a 10-day isolation, which means that the quarterback's first eligible day to return to the field is Saturday, Nov. 13. If Rodgers' body is ready for “physical exertion”, he can go into the facility and practice after that.

The Rodgers-less Packers, Jordan Love and OBJ

The Rodgers-less Packers (7-2) fell short on Sunday against the Chiefs with back-up QB Jordan Love under centre in Kansas City, where Green Bay's seven-game winning streak came to an end

If Rodgers does not play this Sunday, Nov. 14 against the Seahawks for whatever reason, the Packers would start Jordan Love for the second straight week, facing a recovered Russell Wilson with Seattle.

With all the Packers’ distractions these days, there have certainly been some conversations going around the newly-freed former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and the possibilities of him joining the Packers

The 29-year-old who has just been released by the Browns has his eyes on the Packers, per a report on Tuesday, and Green Bay could use a receiver of Beckham Jr. 's caliber to compliment the Rodgers-Adams connection, or to even accelerate Love’s confidence.

NFL investigating the Green Bay Packers

The NFL is looking into whether Rodgers and the Packers violated covid-19 protocols that were negotiated by the NFLPA.

Until then, the Packers play the Seahawks at home on Sunday, and the surprises this Week 10 game will bring are uncharted.
