Lakers trade rumors: The last minute moves LA can make to surround Luka and Lebron before the deadline
The Los Angeles Lakers have had a standout trade window, but is there one last move in store?
The Los Angeles Lakers shocked the world when it was announced that Dallas Mavericks star man Luka Dončić was set to join the side in a sensational move that nobody saw coming.
And now, with the clock ticking down towards the deadline, we take a look at whether there may or may not be a surprise in store for the greediest of Lakers fans who, despite signing one of the best players in the league, would like another new name...
OK, first let’s just recap. In February alone the Lakers have brought in Luka Dončić, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris, with Anthony Davis and Max Christie going the other way.

Dončić has fans buzzing for Lakers debut
It was the deal for Dončić that broke the internet, the Lakers fans’ hive-mind and the space-time continuum in one fell swoop - and with good reason. The Slovenian has, since arriving at the Dallas Mavericks from Real Madrid in 2018, taken the NBA by storm, cementing himself as one of the league’s best players.
In the 2024/25 season be has played in only 22 games yet averaged 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists in those match ups.
Are the Lakers going to sign anyone else before the deadline?
As things stand, it looks unlikely. Mark Williams signed for the Lakers in the aftermath of the Dončić deal and it’s safe to say that not many people expected that one either, and not necessarily for the right reasons.
Williams, while he certainly has the talent, is not a seasoned pro and a guaranteed bet to work on the court in California, but his qualities, if harnessed in the right way, could well prove to be an asset for the side.
