Update:

Netflix released the second season of “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” on Wednesday, and many fans already blew through all seven episodes. The show gives an inside look at the lives behind the big hair and pompoms and it has captivated audiences worldwide.

So it’s no surprise that fans are already eagerly awaiting news of a third season. Here’s what we know right now.

Will there be a third season of “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” on Netflix?

While Netflix has yet to officially announce a renewal, signs point to production already being underway behind the scenes. Social media posts from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have hinted at auditions and training camps, suggesting that season three could be in the works.

Season two followed the auditions and NFL season from 2024-25, so if there is to be a third season, it would mean it’s already in production, with the DCC’s 2025-26 training camp portion of they auditions process already well underway.

If renewed, the third season is expected to continue spotlighting director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell along with several DCC veterans. There may even be celebrity involvement, with country music artist Kacey Musgraves, who appeared in season two, already making an appearance as a celebrity judge during this year’s training.

While some fan-favorite cheerleaders from previous seasons have retired or were cut, newcomers and returning hopefuls are generating buzz online. One of the more heartbreaking stories of season two was that of Dayton Bramhall, whose mother is a former DCC member and current DCC staff member. Bramhall was cut loose despite this being her second time trying out and despite her close relationship with Finglass and Trammell. Thanks to social media, we can see that she both tried out and didn’t make it for a third time this year. So if there is a season three, we can surely expect to hear the story behind that.

When will “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” premiere on Netflix?

Based on the show’s release pattern, season three would likely debut in June 2026, after the 2025 season has ended and before the 2026-27 DCC squad is chosen.
